Vinyl Mag is now accepting applications for Music Writers, Photographers, and a Social Media Manager.

We are so excited to kick off the fall season by bringing in new members to the team. If you’re interested, keep reading!

Before applying, please bare in mind that Vinyl Mag is an unpaid gig. We’d love to pay you, but we make absolutely no profit and work on a purely volunteer basis. We do promise the occasional free show though ;).

Music Writer

Music Writers will generally be expected to write 2-3 pieces a month on topics of their choosing.

Applications for Music Writers will be accepted on a rolling basis. To apply, please send two writing samples, one of which must be related strictly to music (e.g. music review, artist spotlight, music business news, etc.); your pitch for a piece you want to write for Vinyl Mag; and a little bit about yourself, including your favorite genres of music, to our Editor in Chief at buketurgen@gmail.com.

Photographer

Applications for photographers will be accepted on a rolling basis. Photographers will be tasked on need-be cases. To apply, please send a portfolio containing sample photography and a little bit about yourself, including your favorite genres of music, to our Editor in Chief at buketurgen@gmail.com.

Social Media Manager

At this time, we are only looking for one or two Social Media Manager(s). The priority deadline to apply is September 15th, 2023, but we will be accepting applications until the role is filled. (If this post is still up, then you can still apply!) We are looking for someone who’s savvy with graphics, content creation, and audience outreach. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for managing our instagram and twitter/X. You will be given a lot of creative control!
