Dan Deacon announces Record Store Day 7″ single and US museum shows in April
Dan Deacon is set to release a “Kono Ripoff No. 1″ Limited 7″ for this year’s Record Store Day. The 7″ features two sides of the track performed by two sets of dual drummers: Kevin O’Meara and Jeremy Hyman on Side A and Denny Bowen and Dave Jacober on Side B.
Deacon has recently been nominated for a mtvU Woodie award in the ‘Branching Out’ category and is also currently touring with Animal Collective. For more information, click here.
He will be performing at some of the nation’s biggest museums in April, including the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles, The Kimmel Center in Philadelphia and Mass MOCA with a special performance at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on April 27. The Met show will feature special guests from So Percussion and the NYU Steel Drum band.
