People Get Ready has released their second single off of their self-titled, debut album which is set to drop of October 23. Here is their new single “Middle Name”.

Here’s what the band’s founder Steven Reker has to say about this track: “‘Windy Cindy’ was inspired by Cindy Sherman’s pictures, her Untitled Film Stills. It’s a livable world she’s made and I got so into them, I mean really into them. The song is about my desire to take her spot in the picture, forever. I try to do it, it’s fine for a bit, but I end up getting tired because I can’t hold the pose as long as she can. And then I imagine myself as one of the inanimate objects — her dress, the glass she’s holding, the match that she strikes, the book she gets off the shelf. The objects are endowed perfectly by the way she handles them. It’s romantic, but not in a lovey-dovey way but in the way the artwork feels…livable.”
