August 1, 2012 – Los Angeles, CA – Post-punk band Lowtalker have announced plans to release The Marathon EP on September 18 via No Sleep Records. The band has premiered the first track from the EP, “Tension,” today on Absolutepunk.net.

Lowtalker is made up of Stu Ross, formerly of Wisconsin metal band Misery Signals and Canadian rock band Living With Lions and Matt Keil and Casey Hjelmberg of Canadian hardcore favorites Comeback Kid. Drawing influence from their current/past projects, Lowtalker delivers a sonic revolution of raw, jolting post-punk injected with fist-pumping, pit-swirling intensity on their sophomore six song release, The Marathon EP.

Stay tuned for news about the upcoming EP at Lowtalker’s Tumblr and No Sleep Records.

Her love of music spans across all genres (what is a genre anymore? she waxes poetic to herself), though she was nursed on true punk and will never understand “redneck country” music – tractors are not and cannot be sexy. Emily currently lives in Brooklyn, NY and considers herself to be a great wit, though she is still waiting on validation from a credible source.
